Foundation Year Programme – Curriculum

Our foundation year programme is a one-year course designed to prepare students for academic study at the Bachelor’s level. During this year, students will focus on developing their English proficiency and academic skills to comprehend and make meaningful contributions to university level classes. Once admitted, students take the Oxford Placement which determines which module they will start in. Quarterly tests then determine their progression through the academic year at the end of which an IELTS band score of 6.0 has to be obtained in order to proceed to the Bachelor’s program.

Before acceptance into the Bachelor’s programme, students will need to

  • achieve an IELTS band score of 6.0 to transition from Academic English,

  • gain IT proficiency and obtain their IC3 certification and

  • pass the Mathematics course.
